St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic School in Medford has an immediate opening for a full-time experienced bookkeeper. The school’s enrollment has grown, with 389 students in PreK-8th grade.

The School Bookkeeper is a key position responsible for managing the school's financial and physical resources. Reporting to the School Principal and Business Administrator, the role involves embracing Catholic values and supporting the school community, though Catholic faith is not a requirement for applicants.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, problem-solving skills, budget management experience, and proficiency in technology. Responsibilities include managing financial records, monitoring tuition payments, billing, creating purchase orders, ordering supplies, bank reconciliations, overseeing vendor contracts, and analyzing expenses. The ability to analyze data and prepare reports is also required.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential for interacting with staff and families. Organizational skills, multitasking, attention to detail, initiative, problem-solving, and willingness to support school events are also important.

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance is preferred. Relevant work experience and coursework may be considered in lieu of a degree.
