Responsible for applying paints, stains, and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our industry standards. This position is vital to maintaining the aesthetic appeal and durability of our products.

FINISHER/PAINTER - MANUFACTURING COMPANY

Responsible for applying paints, stains, and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our industry standards. This position is vital to maintaining the aesthetic appeal and durability of our products.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Responsible for making customer samples and matching all stain colors, paint colors and different luster of finishes.
- Responsible for all prep work including but not limited to sanding and/or polishing of wood and metal.
- Responsible for repairing scratches, scraps or other damages to paint, stain, or finishes.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications set by the company.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Proven experience as a Painter in industrial or commercial settings.
- Working knowledge of all woods, veneers, and metals as it relates to what primers, paints, stains, dyes, toners and finishes will work with each product.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
- Ability to read tape measure.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications accurately.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Must have knowledge of tools of the trade including but not limited to; pressure, spray and glue pots, as well as spray guns. Performs repairs.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and make appropriate decisions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Other related duties as required and assigned.
