The Financial Advisor (FA) role is a three‑year program with a forgivable draw, for financial advisors or planners who will be providing financial planning guidance & selling investment management solutions. A FA will leverage their experience to service the unique and complex needs of TD Wealth clients by reviewing financial goals and making investment recommendations aligned to their client's goals. The role serves as the central point of contact, responsible for client service & relationship development to achieve greater share of wallet.
Depth& Scope
- Experience selling investments and providing financial plans
- Customer‑centric service, delivering legendary experience at every interaction
- Complete onboarding for new clients, including discovery, needs analysis, and document completion
- Partner in lead generation and referral
- Manage goals, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Ensure all clients receive a planning experience and annual review (ACR)
- Serve as primary TD Wealth liaison, managing all client relationships with TD Bank and referring as needed
- Execute differentiated service model/experience for TD Wealth clients
- Meet quarterly and annual sales goals, deepening wallet share while ensuring exceptional client experience
- Identify opportunities for referrals to Retail and Small Business/Commercial Partners
- Operate in full compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., OCC, SEC, NYDFS)
- Maintain continuing education and adherence to TD Bank & TD Wealth policies
- Implement TD’s Customer Identification Program (CIP) and due diligence requirements
- Transition higher‑threshold clients to appropriate HNW Wealth partners
- Coach, train, and provide feedback to retail and small business staff; mentor new FAs
- Represent TD Wealth professionally and engage in community and TDBG charity initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of advice, planning, and investment sales experience
- Required:
SIE, Series 7, Series 63; L&H and Series 66 (or equivalent) required or ability to obtain - Strong understanding of wealth products and services
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time‑management skills
- Must travel within the assigned market five days a week and commute within the territory
- Proficient in wealth‑management business development techniques and consultative sales
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with other departments and achieve sales goals
- Support the Bank's Customer Service Strategy and provide high‑level service to internal partners, vendors, and customers
- Deliver WOW moments and contribute to partner/customer experience improvement
- Engage in an inclusive culture and create an extraordinary employee experience
- Participate fully as a team member, providing leadership, training, and guidance as needed
- Maintain communication on project status and share knowledge proactively

- Compliance with FINRA and securities laws; eligibility and verification under FINRA Rule 3110(e)
- Required criminal background, credit, civil, and regulatory searches; written certification of findings
