The Field Superintendent is responsible for leading all on-site construction activities across multiple projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong field presence and the ability to coordinate complex operations while maintaining proactive communication with project teams, subcontractors, and ownership. The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader representing Cobalt’s standards of professionalism, efficiency, and safety.

• Provide on-site leadership for all phases of construction, from site mobilization through project completion.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily field activities, ensuring that subcontractors and trades are performing to company expectations and project schedules.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, conducting routine inspections and leading regular safety meetings to ensure a zero-incident environment.
• Interpret and enforce project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to align daily operations with budget, timeline, and quality objectives.
• Anticipate and resolve field conflicts quickly through collaboration and clear communication.
• Oversee field documentation including daily logs, inspections, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
• Ensure high standards of craftsmanship, site cleanliness, and organization.
• Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and local authorities.
• Lead site meetings, coordinate with other departments, and ensure timely project milestones.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists, warranties, and as-built documentation.
• Promote and exemplify Cobalt’s values of integrity, accountability, and teamwork on every job site.

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in field supervision, ideally within multifamily, commercial, or mixed-use construction.
• Proven ability to lead diverse construction teams and manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, schedules, and field operations.
• OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire; additional safety certifications such as Forklift, Equipment Operator, or CPR preferred.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and project scheduling software.
• Ability to travel and work on-site at different project locations as assigned.
