Join Our Team as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician

Required Skills:

• Active Oregon Medical License and DEA certification
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM); hospice experience preferred
• Extensive experience in hospice care, especially for FM or IM physicians
• Proven ability to handle complex symptom management, crisis visits, and crisis admits
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Willingness to work both onsite and via telehealth, with potential onsite requirements in the future
• Strong understanding of hospice protocols, patient advocacy, and end-of-life care

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Prior experience with telehealth services
• Experience working in a combined inpatient and outpatient hospice setting
• BLS certification
• Familiarity with cross-location shared call responsibilities

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• At least 2+ years of experience in hospice and palliative care
• Comfort with flexible scheduling, including call nights, weekends, and varied patient acuity

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work approximately 8 hours per day, with overtime applying after 9 hours
• Willingness to participate in shared call duties, including some evenings, nights, and weekends
• Eligible for travel reimbursements, licensure, and certification renewals as applicable
• Demonstrated adaptability to shift between onsite and telehealth modalities based on operational needs
