Description

Supervisor Infection Prevention for Providence Oregon Shared Services at Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR. Full-Time/Day Shift. The Infection Prevention Supervisor is considered an Infection Prevention expert. The Infection Prevention Supervisor is the direct supervisor for infection preventionists and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned infection prevention program.

Responsibilities

The Infection Prevention Supervisor provides leadership and oversight of the infection prevention program, guiding infection preventionists and coordinating day-to-day operations to ensure program effectiveness and patient safety.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree Lab Sciences, Microbiology, Nursing, Public Health, or related health sciences field.
  • Upon hire:
    National Certification in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology
  • 4 years Quality and patient safety or other directly related healthcare experience.
  • 2 years Infection Prevention or Epidemiology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s Degree Lab Sciences, Microbiology, Nursing, Public Health, or related health sciences field.
  • Within 2 years of hire:
    Fellow of the Association for Professionals In Infection Control and Epidemiology (FAPIC) Or
  • Within 2 years of hire:
    Advanced Leadership Certification in IPC (AL-CIP)
  • 2 years Leadership experience (e.g., experience leading Infection Prevention activities, projects or programs).
  • 5 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience.
  • 5 years Healthcare experience.
