Dietitian – Inpatient Care at Providence Medford Medical Center (0.6 FTE, Day shift)
Join our team at Providence and play a vital role in enhancing patient health and recovery through optimal nutrition. As a Registered Dietitian, you will leverage your clinical expertise to conduct thorough nutrition assessments, provide education, and implement interventions aimed at improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Utilize the Nutrition Care Process and NCPT to assess nutrition status, identify nutrition diagnoses, perform nutrition‑focused physical examinations, interpret results, and make nutrition diagnoses.
• Order nutrition and diet orders, design and implement nutrition care plans, and evaluate outcomes for patients who are at nutrition risk or malnourished.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy and professional nutrition counseling to patients, families, and the community.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related area granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
- Master’s degree required for Dietitians entering the workforce after 1/1/2024.
- Completion of required dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by ACEND.
- Upon hire:
National CDR Registered Dietitian – Commission on Dietetic Registration. - Within 6 months of hire:
Oregon Dietitian License and Dietitian license in state of hire and wherever care is delivered. - 1 year experience with current adult learning theory in relation to nutrition education.
- 1 year experience with nutrition management of multiple disease states.
- 1 year experience managing nutrition in a clinical setting.
- 1 year experience providing medical nutrition therapy.

Pay Range$31.35 – $48.68. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonus opportunities.
