IT Project Manager Oversee various projects of a highly complex nature. Provides project leadership and direction to technical teams in the development of technical systems and products. Working with cross-functional teams, develops and maintains ongoing products/system specifications and requirements for various systems and application development projects. Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Develops, defines and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables, identifies needed resources for projects, defines and assigns project roles, monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, and interfaces with external and/or internal customers.

Requires a strong technical knowledge base and/or previous technical development experience. Typically requires 5 or more years of experience in the project area.

Requirements Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides excellent internal and external customer service representing the bank in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Break down large initiatives into manageable phases and milestones.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
  • Coordinate internal staff and external vendors.
  • Manage resources such as hardware, software, and personnel.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
  • Implement contingency plans for potential crises.
  • Provide regular status updates and progress reports.
  • Communicate expectations clearly to team members and stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings to review goals and progress.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget.
  • Track milestones and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify improvements.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements for better project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely implementation of application updates, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Manage and apply system and application updates, including specification modifications in a timely manner, as required.
  • Develop, track, and maintain documentation for all system updates and configuration changes to support audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to validate compatibility and performance of updated systems before deployment.
  • Monitor and review all system changes post-implementation to verify accuracy, functionality, and alignment with approved specifications, escalating discrepancies for resolution.
Skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches for planning and execution.
  • Understand software development life cycles, IT infrastructure, cloud services (SaaS, PaaS), and cybersecurity.
  • Create risk mitigation plans, manage budgets, and track timelines effectively.
  • Be skilled in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects with precision.
  • Comfortable making complex decisions that impact IT systems and business operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for stakeholder engagement and status reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating risks and making strategic decisions.
  • Comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Operate computer hardware and software, and to detect and resolve operation problems.
  • Prioritize and complete multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Thrive under pressure, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work with no direct supervision and to exercise independent judgment and analysis.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to exercise judgment, initiative, and tact in dealing with department/branch supervisors, staff and outside vendor(s).
