Lead Sales Engineer
Eaton is looking for a Lead Sales Engineer to drive sales of power distribution solutions in the North American market. The position can be based in Medford, OR;
Eugene, OR; or Bend, OR. Relocation assistance is available for candidates living more than 50 miles from these locations.
As a Lead Sales Engineer, you will own a territory, build relationships with key customers and channel partners, and provide tailored solutions across Eaton’s diverse product portfolio. You will lead technical presentations, collaborate cross‑functionally, and manage quotes and negotiations to achieve sales targets.
What You’ll Do- Build and own relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long‑term business prospects.
- Learn and understand business models to develop and execute sales plans that meet performance expectations.
- Collaborate with the channel team to achieve business objectives.
- Canvas the market to gain insight and adapt to changing pricing and delivery requirements.
- Use corporate tools and analytics to drive data‑based decisions about account opportunities and growth.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product lines, operations, and other stakeholders to provide customer‑centric solutions.
- Lead technical presentations at customer forums and local technical associations.
- Work proactively with factories to resolve technical issues and with customers to resolve quality issues.
- Assist the team in coordinating sales efforts and keeping management informed of market conditions.
- Quote projects and negotiate accurate pricing.
- Obtain ongoing training in functional and technical skills.
- General knowledge of Eaton electrical product and service capabilities.
- General knowledge of key customers and channel access within the sales territory.
- Knowledge of sales process and value‑added sales techniques.
- Experience preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations.
- Contract management experience.
- Negotiation skills and experience using negotiation techniques to close orders.
- Ability to build a bill of material and pricing for moderate electrical systems applications.
- Ability to build trust and relationships with varied stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate and be proactive on customer needs.
- Ability to learn and utilize digital tools and proprietary software.
- Robust presentation, training, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with five years of electrical industry experience, Associates degree with seven years of experience, or high school diploma with nine years of experience.
- Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

The compensation range for this full‑time position includes base pay and a target sales incentive, with a target total compensation range of $ – $.
