About this OpportunityWhether you work in public service, the trades, healthcare, technology, administration, or any other field, your career journey matters. As an In‑Person Career Coach with Ontario Career Lab, you will make a meaningful difference by sharing your real‑world experiences with Grade 9 and 10 students who are just beginning to imagine their futures. Your personal journey, the steps you took, challenges you faced, and pivotal moments that shaped your career will show students how diverse industries operate and how careers actually develop.
Through career coaching sessions, you will inspire young people to think about their future with confidence and help them understand that career paths aren’t always linear, but they are full of opportunities.
- Professionals from any industry:
Individuals with work experience in any field, including skilled trades, technology, healthcare, business, arts, and more, are invited to share their career journey. - Passionate mentors: A passion for helping others, guiding young people, and making a difference in your community.
- Desire to share real‑world insights:
Share your experiences and career journey to help students gain valuable knowledge and confidence. - Strong communication skills:
Ability to engage with students in a positive, encouraging, and supportive manner. - Flexibility in engagement:
