A full‑time temporary Grade 2 teacher is required at River Heights School for the  school year. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the constructivist approach to learning and a belief in the efficacy of student‑centred, integrated learning. A background in making cross‑curricular connections, along with the ability to integrate critical and creative thinking, will be important.

A solid understanding of literacy, numeracy, assessment and cooperative learning is essential. The successful applicant will need to be a strong team player who can effectively collaborate with colleagues.

River Heights Elementary School serves about 300 students, from Kindergarten to grade 6, in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
