Probationary Educational Assistant Position

Be an Educational Assistant with the Medicine Hat Public School Division at Elm Street School. Support students' diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment.

This position consists of 30 hours a week, assisting students who require tailored educational support and positive behavioral strategies. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to foster a nurturing and adaptable learning atmosphere for children from early learning to grade 6.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to students with complex learning requirements

• Implement small group and individualized learning activities

• Promote self-regulation and positive behavior practices

• Collaborate with educational staff for effective learning solutions

• Oversee student behavior during recess and classroom times

Requirements:

• Preferred Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent

• Experience working within a school setting

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Ability to adapt strategies for varied student needs

• Experience with early learning through grade 6
