What WhereOur Facilities Engineering team ensures the smooth, safe, and reliable 24/7 operation of Seagate’s high‑tech manufacturing plant. We manage and maintain mission‑critical utilities and building systems including chillers, cooling towers, compressed dry air, vacuum systems, process cooling water, wastewater systems (AWN), high/low tension electrical installations, and cleanroom HVAC. We directly support Seagate’s world‑class Recording Media Operations by delivering efficiency, stability, sustainability, and innovation across all facility functions.
Aboutthe Role – What You Will Do
- Operating and monitoring facility systems via SCADA in the Facility Control Center.
- Performing daily equipment logging, updating checklists, and carrying out in‑house preventive maintenance (PM).
- Supervising vendor PM, repair works, and ensuring full SOP and safety compliance.
- Scheduling, tracking, and closing PM work orders in the computerized maintenance system.
- Responding swiftly to equipment breakdowns or production‑related issues to reduce downtime.
- Monitoring system performance, capacity, and generating performance reports.
- Recording and optimizing plant water consumption and supporting sustainability efforts.
- Tracking cooling tower water quality and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintaining accurate records for internal and external audits.
We are looking for someone who:
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- Is dependable, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure.
- Has strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Learns quickly, adapts well, and actively contributes to improvement.
- Is able to work monthly rotating 12‑hour shifts.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on Facilities O&M experience in semiconductor, wafer fab, or electronics manufacturing.
- Troubleshooting experience in electrical distribution, MCC, VSD, ACMV systems, and general building services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Electrical and HVAC system experience is preferred.
- Experience working with FMS SCADA systems will be an added advantage.
