CAD Technologist

Integrated Geomatics Inc. has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a CAD Technologist to join our growing Geomatics team based out of Calgary, Edmonton or Grande Prairie, Alberta. In this position, the successful applicant will have an advanced understanding of Survey Drafting Techniques and Survey Calculations, be motivated to continuously learn AutoCAD Programming, and be capable of creating Draft Plans using the leading industry standards.

• Create Detailed Survey Plans, and digital files using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other mapping software programs
• Perform quality control checks
• Utilize company checklists, and CAD Standards
• Review and interpret Survey Field Notes to facilitate drafting requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Geomatics, Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline; or certification in CAD courses.
• 10 + years of Survey Drafting experience
• Solid understanding of AutoCAD
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms to others
• Ability to work with all levels of internal staff
• Able to work in both teams and independently with minimal supervision and high initiative
• Ability to multi-task and adjust to frequent changes in priority
• Solid understanding of the Alberta Township system
• Knowledge of industry standards and procedures

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.
