Responsibilities

  • Generate and close Work Orders for PM and CM timely.
  • Plan, liaise with vendors, raise necessary permits, implement, and complete PM works promptly.
  • Retrieve relevant SOP/RA/PTP and PM checklists.
  • Plan, liaise with vendors, review PTP and RA, raise necessary permits, implement, complete, and track the status of Progressive Maintenance Regime.
  • Check, draw, and prepare inventories for use in the regime.
  • Raise Purchase Requests for jobs and materials if not in inventory.
  • Assist equipment engineers in identifying root causes through 8D reports, adopting 5-Whys, verifying suspected causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate and complete in-house training and activities such as Learning Events (LE), EQCC/QCC, TPM, and cost-saving projects.
  • Perform work in strict accordance with Micron’s Code of Ethics and Conduct, Facilities Field, Micron Cultures, RA, SOP, and PTP.
  • Complete LOTO procedures for equipment during PM/CM.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments when working with mechanical, electrical, fire, chemical hazards, confined spaces, working at heights, hot work, and lifting/hoisting using appropriate devices.
  • Select and use the accurate PPE for PM/CM tasks.
  • Monitor work hours to ensure compliance with safety laws.
Job Requirements
  • Education:

    NiTEC or Higher NiTEC in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical field experience.
  • Experience:

    Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications; detailed understanding of concepts and applications of bearings, belts, pulleys, couplings, and motor health status; familiarity with tools such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, and dial indicator, as well as pulley alignment, pulley wear‑off, and belt tension gauge; experience with mechanical systems like MAUs, VLFs, RCUs, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust systems, wet scrubbers, chillers, cooling towers, and various pumps;

    knowledge of fire systems and electrical/instrumentation is advantageous.
  • Communication:
    Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and respectfully with all collaborators, including vendors; collaboration skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
