Project

Title:

AI-Driven Process Intern (Advanced Process Control)

Project Objective:

This internship will focus on enhancing engineering productivity by transforming our AI chatbots into proactive, intelligent 'Task Agents' to address FAQ from fab users (module or PI) regarding R2R controllers.

Project Outcome:

The intern will learn, build and deploy real-world automation solutions in a leading‑edge semiconductor fab. The intern also will contribute to the company in productivity improvement - reduce manual tasks, streamline support processes, and accelerate our response to critical manufacturing events.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Architect, build, and deploy advanced AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio that automate complex engineering tasks such as process parameter changes and data retrieval.
  • Integrate Copilot agents with core manufacturing systems, databases, and workflow tools using APIs and Microsoft Power Automate to enable seamless, end‑to‑end automation.
  • Collaborate directly with process control engineers to identify high‑impact automation opportunities, gather requirements, and conduct user acceptance testing for new chatbot features.
  • Document and present your solutions, demonstrating the quantifiable impact of AI‑driven automation on engineering efficiency and process reliability.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with API integration (e.g., REST, JSON) and scripting languages such as Python or Power Shell.
  • Familiarity with low‑code/no‑code platforms, particularly Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio), is a significant advantage.

* This application is for students undertaking a 20‑24 week credit‑bearing internship from June 2026 onwards.
