As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a skilled team in optimizing plant operations and advancing the City’s generation strategy. Your comprehensive oversight will include mentoring engineers and collaborating with Operations and Maintenance teams to address complex challenges. The role will allow you to impact long-term planning and asset modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coach and develop the Electric Generation Engineering team
• Oversee technical operations for gas turbines and related equipment
• Facilitate outage planning and post-analysis processes
• Improve operational efficiency and plant performance
• Contribute to major capital planning and upgrades
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; master’s valued
• 7+ years related experience in power generation
• 5+ years in a supervisory capacity
• Professional Engineer registration with APEGA
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License
