JBS Food Canada is seeking a dedicated Second Class Power Engineer for its main processing facility in Brooks. In this pivotal role, you will oversee boiler room operations and ammonia refrigeration plant control. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations, carry out inspections, and lead projects to optimize energy efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the Boiler Room and ancillary equipment
• Manage a large ammonia refrigeration system
• Conduct daily inspections of boiler and refrigeration systems
• Record relevant operational data under the Chief Engineer
• Lead initiatives to reduce energy consumption
Requirements:
• Valid ABSA Certified 2nd Class Engineering certificate
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and steam boiler systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience in preventative maintenance programs
