Applications Support Specialist

Position: City of Brooks Applications Support Specialist
Enhance user experiences in the City of Brooks as a Business Applications Support Specialist. This role focuses on troubleshooting, training, and maintaining IT systems for the municipal workforce.

As a Business Applications Support Specialist, you will be the first line of contact for end-user support related to hardware and software systems. You'll troubleshoot and resolve application issues while maintaining city databases and user accounts. Your expertise will improve workflows, ensuring that all IT solutions remain competitive and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and laptop system issues

• Provide end-user support for applications like Vadim and Laserfiche

• Maintain users, email, and computer accounts in active directory

• Support mobile devices including smartphones and tablets

• Perform MySQL database administration tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum two years of experience in IT support

• Degree or Certificate in Computer Science or related field preferred

• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows & Office

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

• Well-developed communication skills
