Area Cleaning Supervisor

Overview

BGIS is a leading provider of customized facility management and real estate services. The Area Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for the effective operations of the cleaning service through planning, quality control, and management of the site cleaners, reporting to the Property Manager and setting high standards for cleaning while ensuring they are met.

• Demonstrate strong leadership to guide team members in reaching their full potential and meeting objectives.
• Recruit, mentor, coach and guide cleaning personnel; conduct performance evaluations, recommend compensation adjustments, and manage all aspects of employment.
• Supervise Site Cleaners, ensuring compliance with the client MSA, SOW, and BGIS processes and procedures.
• Inspect cleaning work, provide feedback, and set priorities in scheduling of duties.
• Provide a clean, safe, and pleasant environment by ensuring cleaners have necessary resources.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager and FMZ team on building condition, special projects, and work orders.
• Maintain inventory of operating equipment, cleaning supplies, and consumables; carry out quality assurance inspections.
• Prepare payroll forms, reports, variance records, cost control reports, and supply cost reports.
• Analyze industry trends and recommend changes to the Regional Operations Manager.
• Other duties as required.

• High school diploma; 1–3 years or more of cleaning supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and program management skills.
• Ability to motivate workforce teams, solve problems, and work rotating hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends.
• Willingness to learn and acquire current skills; no licenses or professional accreditation required.
