Environmental Services Assistant - Riverview

Position: Environmental Services Assistant - AgeCare Riverview
The Opportunity   Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, the Environmental Services Assistant performs routine repairs and minor maintenance while delivering excellent customer service to residents.
What You Will Do     Perform routine repairs and minor maintenance on building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment
Complete painting, minor carpentry, and exterior grounds maintenance (excluding contracted services)
Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure maintenance and safety standards are met; report findings to the supervisor
Follow established facility policies and procedures, including safety protocols and safe work practices
Fulfill housekeeping and maintenance duties as required while performing handyman responsibilities
Work in a position of trust with vulnerable adult residents
Uphold and promote the organization’s values, including ethics, integrity, and professionalism, as outlined in the Code of Conduct
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring     Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English
Strong ability to work independently and self-manage tasks
Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting and moving heavy objects

Experience with minor repairs to facilities and equipment
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, water, gas, mechanical systems, plastering, and painting
Ability to manage and track budgets, including recording work completed and associated costs
Knowledge of health and safety practices
Must provide a current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one
