This is a two-month contract opportunity for a Production Scheduler, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business requirements. The role provides an excellent chance to support production operations in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the efficiency of the team.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize efficiency.Coordinate with production teams to ensure materials and resources are available as needed.Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required to address delays or changes in priorities.Communicate with various departments to ensure alignment on production timelines.Maintain accurate records of production schedules, changes, and status updates.Analyze production capacity and propose adjustments to meet demand fluctuations.Resolve scheduling conflicts and identify areas for improvement in the scheduling process.Ensure all production activities are in compliance with safety and quality standards.Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.Prepare and generate reports on production status and efficiency metrics.Qualifications:Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in production scheduling software and Microsoft Office.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt quickly to changing production requirements and priorities.Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling scheduling challenges.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.A background in production or operations management is preferred.A degree or diploma in supply chain management, operations, or a related field is an asset.David Aplin & Associates Inc., operating as Aplin, and its associated brands, Compu Staff and Impact Recruitment, is an award-winning employment agency connecting diverse, top-tier talent with exceptional organizations across North America.
