Responsibilities
  • Coordinate on a daily basis with plant operators and maintenance electricians.
  • Champion a zero-injury mindset by strictly following LOTO (Lock-out/Tag-out) and rigid food safety standards.
  • Complete planned inspections, servicing, and lubrication routines on sifting systems, milling machinery, and conveyors.
  • Rapidly address sudden mechanical breakdowns to keep production quotas on schedule.
  • Analyze and overhaul malfunctioning hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems using structured root-cause techniques.
  • Help set up new manufacturing equipment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost line performance.
  • Correctly document completed work orders, tracking parts inventory and maintenance logs in the CMMS.
Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyman Millwright Ticket (Interprovincial Red Seal is highly valued).
  • Direct background working in Food & Beverage, Pharma, or similar high-speed industrial manufacturing is a major plus.
  • High proficiency servicing conveyor assemblies, industrial pumps, gearboxes, seals, and bearings.
  • Foundational skills in TIG/Stick welding for minor machinery fixes.
  • Forward-thinking mentality focused on preventing future equipment failures rather than just reacting to them.
