Job Overview

Certain Teed Canada is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright in Redcliff.

• Perform work and repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance on machinery.
• Use a wide array of precision tools.
• Fabricate custom parts, fixtures, and guarding by means of arc welding, grinding, oxyacetylene cutting.
• Assemble and install machinery and equipment such as mixers, saws, pullers, precision bearings, gearboxes, clutches, motors, shafts, sprockets, chains, conveyors, etc.
• Align components, couplings on pumps and various couplings.
• Participate in and support World Class Manufacturing initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production requirements are met.
• Participate in making improvements to process and machines.

• Valid Alberta Journeyman Maintenance Millwright or Red Seal.
• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CMMS system.
• Some experience with Maintenance SAP system.
• Ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts.
• Understanding of bearings and their functions.
• Must be able to read drawings and machine parts from a sketch or sample.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work in a team and independently.
• Welding experience considered an asset.
• Unionized plant operates on a 24/7 schedule.

Location:

Redcliff, AB. Must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.

Work location is in person. Shift work: 2-2-3 rotating every 2 weeks; required to work days, nights, and weekends.

Job Type: Full-time. Pay:
From $39.87 per hour.
