Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta

Become a Licensed Practical Nurse at Age Care in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and provide essential nursing care to our senior residents. This part-time position is designed for individuals with a passion for compassionate healthcare.

In this role, reporting to the Director of Care, you will collaborate closely with the care team to deliver high-quality nursing care. You’ll engage in comprehensive resident assessments, oversee medication management, and work on developing care plans. Your interactions with residents and their families will be pivotal in fostering a caring and respectful environment that enhances their quality of life and ensures swift transitions in their care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with an interdisciplinary care team

• Document and maintain resident health and care plans

• Implement and evaluate effective nursing strategies

• Provide nursing care and manage medications safely

• Educate residents and families regarding care processes

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse registration in Alberta

• Background in senior care or complex care is preferred

• Strong communication and critical thinking abilities

• Current First Aid and CPR certifications required

• Experience with electronic documentation systems
