As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will engage with postpartum patients and newborns, offering post-surgical care and applying general medical-surgical nursing skills. Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team that includes Registered Nurses, Obstetricians, and Midwives. Your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Care for postpartum patients and newborns
• Support families with infant feeding education
• Provide post-surgical and medical nursing care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain nursing processes and standards of practice
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited practical nurse program
• Registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Satisfactory criminal record check required
