Position: Medicine Hat Overnight Caregiver for Youth
Support youth as an Overnight Caregiver with Closer to Home Community Services in Medicine Hat, Alberta. This full-time role is centered around community engagement and skill development.

You will work with a dedicated team to assist children and youth in a community group home using the Teaching Family Model. Responsibilities include ensuring high levels of supervision, managing household tasks, and facilitating daily routines. You'll help create an environment where youth feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document room checks and report concerns effectively

• Investigate and manage any night-time incidents

• Enhance youth well-being with supportive strategies

• Perform daily cooking, cleaning, and household tasks

• Transport youth as necessary for school and appointments

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in a related field preferred

• Experience in care for vulnerable populations preferred

• Required compliance checks and a valid driver’s license

• Proven crisis intervention skills and therapeutic approach

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
