Community Resource Centre Worker

Make a difference as a Community Resource Centre Worker with The Salvation Army in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Support individuals and families by providing essential resources and guidance toward autonomy.

In this temporary role, you'll provide ongoing support to clients, enhancing their social, physical, and mental wellbeing. With two years of relevant experience and certifications in First Aid/CPR, you will assess needs and liaise with community agencies for effective referrals, all while ensuring compliance with The Salvation Army’s policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client emotional and social needs thoroughly

• Liaise with community agencies for client referrals

• Oversee Hot Meal Program operations and budgeting

• Maintain accurate documentation for client support

• Ensure cleanliness and safety compliance in the facility

Requirements:

• Two years of relevant experience in support roles

• Certified in First Aid/CPR and food safety

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Alberta Class “5” Driver’s License required

• Background check with vulnerable sector screening needed
