The City of Brooks is looking for a number of Part-time Junior Lifeguards to join our Aquatics team. We will be hiring day-time, evening and weekend positions. If you do not possess the training requirements, don't worry! We are able to provide all the necessary training for you to become our next Junior Lifeguard. This is an excellent position with many advancement opportunities in aquatics.

Job Details & Responsibilities:

The Junior Lifeguard position is a part-time position involved at the EID Aquatic Centre. As a Junior Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring that pool and lifeguarding duties are performed to meet user, City and regulating authority standards.

Requirements:

  • The successful applicant, must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Other training requirements include:
    National Lifeguard Certificate, Standard First Aid Certification and a Swim Instructor Certificate.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to work well in a team environment and have strong public relations, interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Compensation & Benefits:

    The wage range for this position is $18.11 - $19.21 per hour without Swim Instructor Certification or $19.79 - $20.99 per hour with Swim Instructor Certification. The successful candidate will also receive a free membership to the JBS Canada Centre during their term of employment.
