Our statewide Ohio estate planning and elder law practice presents several free, informational seminars throughout the state each week to educate the public about financial, tax and estate planning issues that affect people as they age. Seminar attendance ranges from 20 – 150 individuals. We are looking for a highly motivated, polished and energetic Seminar Coordinator for our Medina office to add to our growing team.
The Seminar Coordinator is responsible for the end-to-end success of our seminars, from initial planning and on-site logistics to post-seminar follow-up scheduling with attendees. Transforming each seminar into a positive, memorable experience for attendees so that they understand the benefits of planning and take the next step to act on that knowledge. The ideal candidate will also support the presenting attorney by assuring the smooth operation of the seminars, highlighting our professionalism and brand.

- Quick learner, must develop a clear understanding of the firm’s vision, objectives and how the services provided benefit our clients
- Secure the venue, maintaining good relationships
- Update our contact management system, accurately and timely
- Assemble, arrange and test equipment (projector, laptop, mics, etc.)
- Greet and sign-in attendees
- Introduce presenter, close seminar with attendee next-step instructions
- Timely enter attendee information into contact management system
- Schedule attendees on-site for a free consultation
- Follow-up (call, text, email) seminar attendees to schedule attendees
- Order supplies as needed for seminar support
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred or direct Events Coordination experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite, Apple suite
- Experience with conferencing applications (e.g. Zoom and/or Teams); texting applications (e.g. Text Magic)
- Knowledge and experience with Keynote or Power Point
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Travel to seminar venues, which are typically within 1 hour from office
- Employee must be able to periodically stand or sit for extended periods of time, and to stoop, bend, reach, lift, climb stairs, and crouch as required to perform key duties.
- Must be able to type and enter data into the computer system timely.
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and to carry up to 25 pounds personally
- Availability to run evening seminars, as scheduled
- Hourly - $20 per hour, plus monthly bonuses
