Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. is one of the largest independent Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC distributors in America and is seeking a Controller to oversee its Finance/Accounting activities.

The Controller is an integral part of the Management team, reporting to the VP of Finance & HR. This position is on‑site in Medina, Ohio, Monday through Friday with extra hours when needed.

Candidate must be a motivated self‑starter with a strong ability to define, execute, and measure key deliverables. Key functions include: acting as the accountable person for general ledger, timely month‑end close, developing & enforcing internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial standards & regulations, overseeing treasury & cash‑flow projections, FP&A activities, and driving continuous improvement across the entire business.

• Serve as the leader of financial reporting and related functions at Wolff.
• Manage, develop, and coach a team of four.
• Ensure compliance with tax‑basis accounting, federal and state taxes, and payroll/wage‑hour laws.
• Produce timely financial statements and managerial reports to aid in management decision making.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Maintain, evaluate, and implement appropriate internal controls.
• Provide various support for administrative duties‑fleet, insurance.
• Complete other reports, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• CPA (active or inactive).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business OR equivalent working experience.
• 10+ years of accounting experience with strong tax experience a plus.
• Experience managing a team – A/P, A/R, Payroll, Credit & Collections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in distribution environment.
• Experience in family‑owned business a plus.
