Responsible for organizing and coordinating all components of referrals, testing and related appointment/scheduling or preauthorization requirements, across providers, departments and partnered divisions within Summa Health. Provides support and communicates necessary information to patients, peers and providers regarding status and processes of referrals and appointments.

  Education Required:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent;
  Post High-School level coursework in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Experience & Training
  
  Required:
  
  One (1) year of experience in a Medical Office/Registration/Billing setting to include experience with insurance payers, front desk registration duties or related (Medical Assistant, Biller, Registration staff).
• Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Computer experience: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred.

  Ability to manage conversations with third-party vendors and insurance payers, solve practical problems, interpret instructions, work reliably in a high-volume environment, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail, skills in referral software and electronic medical records, teamwork, interpersonal communication, independent operation, respect for patient dignity, adherence to Summa Health Commitments, attendance policy, timeliness, HIPAA compliance.
• Level of Physical Demands: Sedentary; occasional exertion up to ten pounds; prolonged sitting.

$19.23/hr - $23.08/hr the salary range on this posting is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location, are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. The range listed is the full base salary range.
