We currently seeking a
Sewing Cap Flange at our Medina, OH location

Pay: The hourly pay range is: $21.13 - 22.13

Primarily responsible for taking the side border of the mattress and guides it into the sewing machine, sewing it to the bottom cloth panel. The operator uses both hands to guide the side border through the sewing machine jaws as the side border is sewn to the panel. The operator then hangs the finished units on a metal cart to be moved to the next work in process area.

What You’ll Need:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to perform within a fast paced, team environment to maintain monthly, weekly, and daily production goals
• Maintain and sustain a clean area/environment.
• Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Continuous: standing while operating the sewing machine; pushing and pulling of work piece while on the sewing table; repetitive use of arms and hands while aligning pieces of fabric and feeding them into the machine
• Repetitive use of one foot to activate the sewing machine; and grasping of fabric pieces and scissors.
• Frequent lifting and moving of work in process (panels, finished caps) less than 10 lbs.
• Occasional: walking short distances to gather materials from storage and to place finished unit on carts; reaching overhead to retrieve components from storage or place finished units on carts; and lifting and carrying of supply rolls weighing up to 25 lbs.
