Description Key Responsibilities
- Preparing for the changeover with the shift supervisors ahead of scheduled line changes, offering guidance for effective product switch, including equipment changeovers that can be completed proceeding completion of the run and set up of next run.
- Responsible for accurate and complete changeovers, sharing advice with Operation Manager and shift supervisors in applicable Haz waste, universal waste, and wash out procedures.
- Serves as a tactical resource for operations and maintenance.
- Will be required to run equipment for production needs when not doing a changeover.
- Conduct quality checks – weight and crimp width and depth.
- Read and follow spec sheet and bill of material.
- In process adjustment to all machines.
- Will be required to follow safety and quality standards.
- Will provide training at the operator level once fully trained.
- Perform equipment PMs as required.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior mechanical experience.
- Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Must also have excellent mechanical ability, troubleshooting skills and attention to supérieur detail.
- Able to work overtime and nights as required.
- Able to lift 50 LBS.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Demonstrated successful work experience.
- Good hand eye coordination.
- Ability to types in a chemical manufacturing plant environment.
- Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting objects up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling objects.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Able work in extreme temperatures.
