Dietary Server-Part-time Evenings

Schedule is Monday–Friday 4:00 PM–7:00 PM.

This role supports patient meals and related services within our kitchen, cafeteria, and catering operations.

Join our family. Set up and serve meals for patients, maintain kitchen, cafeteria and catering sanitation standards, and support related dining services.

• Patient Food Service: pull cold items for patient meal service per tally and setup on patient trayline; set up hot food on patient trayline; serve hot and cold foods per meal ticket selections and serving standards; transport patient trays to wings/pavilions for delivery by clinical staff; prepare and deliver late trays; breakdown patient trayline after meal service; wash pots/pans from serving line;
  
  clean and sanitize trayline equipment; pick up carts with dirty trays from meal service; wash patient dishes; follow guidelines for trash, dirty linen and recyclable collection; sweep and mop floors; accurately complete all documentation; provide backup for menu aide if trained; maintain dietary patient census and assure correct menu for diet orders; interact with patients and families in daily menu selections;
  
  tally patient menu selections for hot and cold foods; catering service set up/break down; cafeteria service set up with food/beverages and supplies; serve in cafeteria according to portion and service standards; operate POS system and reconcile cash drawer; clean and sanitize cafeteria serving areas, tables and chairs; perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Menu Aide (if specified): assist with preparation and completion of menus and tallies; ensure accurate menu selections.

• Must be able to read, write and carry out instructions
• Minimum of one year healthcare food service experience preferred
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements (license/certification/registration)

• Compliance with Annual Flu Shot Policy or ability to provide exemption documentation
• Provide an active auto insurance policy as a licensed driver in the State of Ohio with the proper level of coverage as directed
• Provide an active driver’s license
• Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism
