Position DescriptionThe Athletics and Recreation Department seeks an experienced, patient, and passionate individual to manage a summer youth program. Working with the Athletics and Recreation Director and Assistant Director, the Summer Youth Programs Manager will design and oversee safe, engaging, and fun programs—including weekly summer camps, parent’s nights out, family pool parties, and other special events—while developing programming, managing a team, and gaining insight into club operations.

EssentialJob Duties
- Lead the planning and execution of the Club’s summer youth and camp programming, with the support and direction of the Assistant Director.
- Develop and implement systems to improve the program with focuses on engagement and safety.
- Monitor and maintain the overall Camp and Youth Programming budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and staffing.
- Train, supervise, and support camp and youth program staff, perform evaluations and provide growth opportunities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promote high morale and teamwork, and ensure safety through effective supervision, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
- Enforce policies and procedures, addressing disciplinary or behavioral issues promptly and effectively.
- Other program support duties as assigned.
- A 50% discount on restaurant and cafe meals (payroll deduction).

Requirements- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to practice discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work well with children and adults.
- Ability to keep up with physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment, including frequent lifting of up to 50lbs, long periods of standing/walking, and confident swimming and tread water.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification prior to job start.
- Monday‑Friday availability, with occasional adjusted hours for evening programs and most Fridays in July and August; start and end dates flexible, ideally mid‑May through the end of August.
- Current or previous study or experience in childhood education, youth programming, or recreation.
- Previous experience training and supervising a staff.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Experience managing and following a program budget.
