Overlake Golf & Country Club (OGCC) was originally established in 1927 on this beautiful site in the hidden neighborhood of Medina, Washington. PositionDescription
Overlake Golf & Country Club is looking for fun, engaging, and responsible coaches for its water polo team. In partnership with Triangle Pool and Norwood Swim Club, Overlake Golf & Country Club hosts and fields a water polo team for the Midlakes Water Polo League. The team, affectionately known as Troverwood, operates from July – August, with daily morning practices and games on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings.
The team consists of around 60‑70 players, with ages ranging from 7‑18.
Water Polo Coaches are responsible for developing the players’ skills through practice plans and coaching, guiding players through the competitive season, and helping to create a community of fun and excitement during the summer. Coaches are also able to schedule and teach additional commission‑based private and small‑group lessons.

Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES- Run age group practices and assist in workout preparations and planning.
- Assist with Water Polo communications and administration.
- Attend and help direct operations during water polo games and team events.
- Help coordinate the parent volunteer program.
- Must be able to work with children and adults of all ages and abilities.
- Must be available for weekends and / or evening work.
- Report any incidents immediately to supervisor and complete all appropriate paperwork.
- High school, club, or advanced water polo experience.
- Prior coaching or teaching experience preferred but not required.
- Degree in kinesiology, sports medicine, or another relevant field is preferred but not required.
- Lifeguard certification or willingness to acquire upon hiring.
- Experience with Midlakes Water Polo League or similar summer leagues.
- Ability to teach proper swimming techniques.
- Strong leadership experience and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
