Position:
Staff Quality Engineer
Location: Franklin, MA
Position OverviewA leading advanced manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Quality Engineer to support quality assurance operations at its high-volume production facility near Medway, MA. This role is focused on ensuring product compliance with AS9100 standards and supporting inspection, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts across electromechanical hardware, textiles, and composite components.
Key Responsibilities- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of electromechanical hardware, textiles, and composites
- Verify product conformance to specifications, drawings, and acceptance test criteria
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to resolve quality issues
- Compile and maintain inspection data and supplier documentation for customer submission
- Interface with suppliers to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Support Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, including AS9100 and CMMI compliance
- Assist in developing and reviewing procedures, work instructions, and detailed Quality Plans
- Manage calibrated equipment program and support internal audits
