Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

- Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
- Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
- Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
- Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- Thank guests and express appreciation for choosing to shop at Target
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Understand and show guests how to use features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features
- Handle returns by following register prompts; partner with leaders as needed to help solve for the guest while following Target’s policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties (e.g., compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws)
- All other duties based on business needs
- You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests and fellow team members
- You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success
- You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)
- Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentiveness to guests’ needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
