Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Cardiac Surgery Program | Florida

Health First Medical Group is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our growing adult cardiac surgery program in Florida.

This is an opportunity for a surgeon interested in building a comprehensive cardiac surgery practice within a collaborative cardiovascular program. Our program offers a broad range of surgical and structural heart capabilities, with opportunities to participate in program development as we expand advanced cardiac services.

• Adult cardiothoracic surgery practice with a focus on comprehensive cardiac care
• Active Structural Heart program with access to TAVR, Mitra Clip, and Tri Clip
• Minimally invasive cardiac surgery capabilities
• Developing cardiogenic shock program
• Expanding heart failure program
• STS 3-star program
• Dedicated APP team supporting cardiothoracic surgery
• Dedicated cardiac anesthesia team
• One hybrid operating room
• Clinic located within the hospital, providing convenient access to inpatient services, imaging, procedural areas, and multidisciplinary cardiovascular resources
• 1:4 call schedule

• Collaborative multidisciplinary cardiovascular environment
• Strong partnership between cardiac surgery, cardiology, structural heart, anesthesia, and critical care
• Dedicated CTS APP support
• Infrastructure designed to support complex cardiac surgical and structural heart patients

• Opportunity to help shape the future growth and clinical direction of the cardiac surgery program

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon
• Eligible for Florida medical licensure and credentialing
• Experience in adult cardiac surgery
• Interest in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and/or structural heart preferred
• Strong interest in multidisciplinary cardiovascular care
• Collaborative approach to patient care
• Interest in joining a growing program and contributing to its continued clinical development

As a Primary Stroke Center, our goal is to transport, assess, diagnose, and treat each stroke patient within three hours of the onset of their symptoms. We also offer advanced, life-changing Interventional Neuro-Radiology procedures for advanced stroke treatment found nowhere else in Brevard.
