As a Special Education Tutor at Club Z!, you will have the unique opportunity to make a profound difference in the education of a student. This role involves direct instruction in the student’s home in Melbourne, catering specifically to learners with special needs in core subjects. The position is hands‑on, focusing on providing tailored educational experiences that foster clear understanding and success in various subjects.
The Client is looking for tutoring 4 times a week any weekday at 4PM
- Conduct personalized, one-on-one educational sessions in the student's home, with sessions lasting up to one hour, focusing on core academic subjects.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies tailored to the individual needs of the student with special educational requirements.
- Assess student’s academic and learning needs, track their progress, and adjust lessons to ensure effective learning.
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss the child's progress and to reinforce learning concepts at home.
- Prepare teaching materials and resources that cater to the student’s learning needs and accommodations.
- Provide feedback and recommendations that support the student's learning and developmental goals.
- Maintain a consistent schedule that accommodates the student’s availability, ensuring punctuality and preparedness for each session.
- Utilize various educational tools and approaches to enhance student learning experiences and outcomes.
- Commit to ongoing professional development to stay informed of the latest trends and techniques in special education tutoring.
- Adhere to all company policies, standards of conduct, and safety protocols.
- Must possess an active teaching certification or a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Must have reliable transportation, capable of tutoring at the student's home location.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Demonstrated ability to tutor students up to high school level in core subjects.
- Basic computer and internet navigation skills.
- Flexible availability during late afternoons and evenings tailored to the student's schedule.
- Willingness to travel up to 15 miles from primary work location.
- Preferred:
At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or a related teaching role. - Additional preference for candidates who have successfully cleared a background check.
