• Facilitate the mechanical design life cycle from concept to system integration for flight test instrumentation hardware.
• Work cross‑IPT/discipline collaboration in the development of flight test instrumentation designs.
• Procurement of hardware in support of mechanical designs.
• Serve as the point of contact with vendors, manufacturers, and technician teams in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of flight test instrumentation equipment.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 5 years relevant experience; OR Master of Science with 3 years relevant experience; OR PhD with 1 year relevant experience.
• Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated Government Secret clearance (DoD must be in‑scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and required program access within a reasonable period of time.

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 8 years relevant experience; OR Master of Science with 6 years; OR PhD with 4 years.
• Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated Government Secret clearance (DoD must be in‑scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and required program access within a reasonable period of time.

Primary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $

Secondary Level Salary Range: $ - $

The above salary range is a general guideline. Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope of responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, a discretionary bonus, annual bonuses, and long‑term incentives for VP or Director positions. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
