Position
Electromechanical Engineer – onsite, 12‑month or longer, flexible schedule (9/80, 4/10). Pay: $65.98/hr (W2, DOE).
LocationMelbourne, FL 32901 (Onsite)
Responsibilities- An Electromechanical Engineer to apply electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results; construction of developmental assemblies, sub‑assemblies and components; and quality testing.
- Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
- The selected candidate will work in a team environment within the Vehicle Engineering IPT and his/her roles and responsibilities include:
- Support electrical wiring team group with their design needs, support manufacturing with wiring integration, route wiring harnesses in a 3D environment in accordance with client’s Standard and AS50881, design and release wiring installations.
- Will be working with a team of engineers coordinating with multiple disciplines to determine solutions to problems quickly and efficiently.
- US Citizenship is required.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 4‑5 years of experience in electrical cable/wiring harness routing on military and/or commercial aircraft, or
- Master’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 2 years of experience in electrical cable/wiring harness routing on military and/or commercial aircraft.
- Self‑starter who can work with minimal direction.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS‑Project, Visio).
- Proficiency in technical communication, both written and verbal, is crucial.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work with a team are often necessary.
- STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical).
- Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Experience with designing and integrating components into larger systems.
- Experience managing projects (schedule and technical performance).
