Join V2X Inc as a Journeyman Mobile Broadband Engineer (LTE, 5G) responsible for the deployment, configuration, and optimization of mobile broadband systems to support mission‑critical services.

Overview

Working across the globe, V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield. The role will be located at Patrick SFB. This position is contingent upon a successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designs of mobile broadband / cellular‑related services across BAN.
• Understand requirements, follow standards for spectrum use, antenna placement, power requirements, back‑haul connectivity.
• Ensure integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks, troubleshooting network problems and optimizing capacity.
• Install and configure broadband systems and networks.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to broadband systems.
• Monitor and analyze system performance.
• Perform regular maintenance on broadband systems.
• Coordinate with Network Engineers to optimize network capacity and performance.
• Test new broadband technologies before rollout.
• Document installation, maintenance, and repair for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards during design, installation, and maintenance.
• Maintain safety procedures and standards compliance.
• Utilize excellent problem‑solving skills to resolve faults promptly and efficiently.

Material & Equipment Used

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, SharePoint.
• Proficient in broadband system technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure.

Working Environment

Office environment with potential to support austere locations.

Physical Activities

Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.

Qualifications Education / Certifications

• Technical BA / BS Degree.
• High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
• CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent.
• CompTIA Security+.

Experience / Skills

• 5 years with BA / BS Degree; OR
• Minimum 7 years of experience with High School Diploma or Associate Degree performing as a Broadband Engineer on large, complex networks.

Clearance Requirement

• Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier
  3) clearance.

Skills & Technology Used

• Proficient in broadband system technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure.
