The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. • Involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of semiconductor processing or semiconductor products/devices.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing processes or products and make modifications and improvements as needed.
• Compile and evaluate process or product design and test data.
• Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.
• Responsible for leading group of engineers on a technical activity and completion of activity on time and budget
• Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
• Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
• Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
• Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
• Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
• Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
• Participate in preparation of proposals
• Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
• Ability to Lead and direct the work of others as assigned
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
• Lead less-experienced engineers

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 8+ years of experience
• Fluency in technologies and application domain
• Ability to lead a technical group independently
• Expereince with rootcause analysis and corrective action processes
• Expereince managing technically complex product lines

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
