Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Staff EW/RF Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and analyzing EW/RF projects across development, integration, testing, production, and flight test phases. The engineer will provide technical leadership on system requirements, subsystem design/analysis, performance verification, and support across the entire aircraft system life cycle.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and analyze to support development, integration, test, production, and flight test.
- Collaborate with leadership on system requirements generation, flow‐down, subsystem design/analysis, and performance verification, including lab and range testing.
- Support all stages of the aircraft system life cycle – primary design, integration, fielding, airworthiness, and testing.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure robust, maintainable configurations.
- Determine and develop solution approaches within schedule and cost objectives.
- Develop EF/RF source scenario programming.
- Create simulations and conduct tests.
- Analyze data and perform performance analysis.
- Minimum of 14 years of professional/military experience in Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM, or 12 years with a Master’s, or 10 years with a Ph.D., all from an accredited university.
- Active In‑Scope DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
- Experience working in a lab environment.
- Experience with development documents for lab infrastructure.
- Experience leading a team.
- Experience in RF, ES, and/or EA applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience engaging with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Rapid assimilation of new concepts.
- History of personnel development and mentoring.
- Ability to work across geographically separated campuses.
- Familiarity with RF sensing modalities.
- Effective communication across multiple IPTS.
Primary Level: $166,500 – $249,700
