Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Level
4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team encompassing the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of operating system administration, web app design, and security monitoring tools. Key Responsibilities (May Include, But Not Limited To)
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Serve as the product owner, planning and prioritizing work within the Agile framework of Planning Increments and Sprints.
  • Foster a culture of continuous growth and development, both for yourself and your team.
  • Analyze the total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and sustainment.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 8 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 4 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status.
  • Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience managing operating systems and platforms, e.g., Windows Server, desktop environments, Red Hat Linux, VMware, etc.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Power Shell scripting, Ansible and/or Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Profound knowledge of access controls and experience in utilizing tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and Trellix EPO to effectively detect and respond to security incidents; application of Secure Technical Implementation Guides and asset configuration management.
  • Experience working with Dev Ops Processes, Physical and/or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Systems administration experience, including VMware, vSphere, VDI, ESXi, Red Hat Linux, Windows 11, Windows Server, Dell OS10 and/or Cisco IOS.
  • Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability.
