As a Senior Mobile Broadband Engineer (LTE, 5G), you will serve as the technical lead for the design, integration, and optimization of advanced mobile networks. This role is responsible for architecting and deploying secure, high-performance Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and 5G wireless solutions that enable digital modernization, smart base capabilities, and resilient mission communications. This position ensures broadband infrastructure aligns with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, electromagnetic spectrum policies, and mission resiliency standards.

Position will be located at Patrick SFB.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

• Senior engineer, designing mobile broadband / cellular-related services across BAN.
• Understands requirements, ensuring standards are followed for spectrum use, antenna placement, power requirements, back‑haul connectivity.
• Ensures integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks, troubleshooting network problems and optimizing capacity.
• Installs and configures broadband systems and networks.
• Diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to broadband systems.
• Monitors and analyzes system performance.
• Performs regular maintenance on broadband systems to ensure longevity and optimal working conditions.
• Coordinates with Network Engineers to optimize network capacity and performance.
• Tests new broadband technologies before they are rolled out.
• Documents installation, maintenance, and repair for future reference.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards during design, installation, and maintenance of mobile broadband systems.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and standards.
• Has excellent problem‑solving skills to resolve faults promptly and efficiently.

Material & Equipment Directly Used

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
• Proficient in broadband system technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure.

Working Environment

Office environment with potential to support austere locations.

Physical Activities

Must be able to lift / carry 50 lbs.

Qualifications Education / Certifications

• Technical BA / BS Degree; or High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
• CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent.
• CompTIA Security+

Experience / Skills

• 7 years with BA / BS Degree; or
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with High School Diploma or Associate Degree performing as a Broadband Engineer on large, complex networks.

Clearance Requirement

• This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier
  3) level clearance.

Skills & Technology Used

• Proficient in broadband system technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure.
