Telecommunications Engineer - CCNA VOICE

Contract

Job Description
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of IP Telephony and Unified Communications design, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Messaging, Cisco Unified Contact Center, Skype for Business (formerly Lync) as well as Polycom video conferencing room
  • In-depth experience with multi-site, IP telephony and unified communications rollouts and migrations
  • Experience migrating/integrating legacy PBX infrastructure to unified communications
  • Quality Of Service understanding and configuration, able to customize across all Cisco platforms to support Voice, Video, and selected applications
  • Experience deploying SIP trunking; both internally and externally hosted
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Lync
  • Strong knowledge of the Cisco ISR G2 and G3 platforms, Nexus and UCS B/C series servers
  • Design and implement of voice and video network infrastructures.
  • Responsible for tier 2/3 troubleshooting.
  • Design and deploy necessary controls to insure the network meets service levels.
  • Troubleshooting, and on call rotation.
Qualifications
  • B.S in Information Systems, engineering or equivalent with at least 6 years of related experience; additional years of experience may be substituted for formal degree
  • Cisco CCNA Voice certification
  • Project related experience in the planning, design, rollout and support for mid - large enterprise unified communications initiatives
  • Strong Cisco and Microsoft UCC knowledge operating in a global environment
  • In-depth knowledge of the various UCC technologies including IP Telephony, Instant Messaging/Presence, Video Conferencing, Web Conferencing
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service is essential with outstanding oral and written communication.
  • Process-oriented and able to work as a team
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Cisco routing and switching experience, including LAN/WAN/Security architecture
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments and adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations
  • Solid documentation experience with Visio, Word, Excel
  • Ambitious and goal oriented, with initiative to work until job is complete
  • Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Cisco CCNP Collaboration certificate or equivalent experience
