PRN Radiation Therapist

Overview

Maryland Oncology Hematology, part of The US Oncology Network, is seeking a PRN Radiation Therapist. The US Oncology Network focuses on delivering advanced integrated cancer care through independent physicians, emphasizing quality, value, and local access to innovative treatments.

Under direct supervision, administer radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accurate positioning of radiation beams and precise dose delivery. Adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical records.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedules and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
• Accurately makes custom molds.
• Accurately completes simple MU calculations.
• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Radiation Therapist I: requires 0-3 years of active practice as an RTT.
• Radiation Therapist II: requires 3-5 years of active practice as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist: requires 5+ years of active practice as an RTT.
